Hello! is it safe to have surgery if you have mrsa?

Only if MRSA cured: The risk is to have the surgical wound infected. It would be wise to avoid surgery until the MRSA is cured. It would be best to see an infectious disease specialist to confer with and follow you.

Depends: On where your surgery is, if you have been treated and whether your MRSA is colonized or an active infection. These are great questions to discuss with your surgeon and primary care doctor.
