Chapped, dry lips: Do u take any medications or supplements? Any vitamin a derivative moisturizers? Otc antihistamines? Many meds (rx & otc) can cause dry lips/skin. Flavored lip balms tend to encourage licking lips more, resulting in chapping. Per mayo clinic derm dr. Gibson, use oil-based lubricating cream/lip balm with petrolatum/beeswax. Before going out in cold, dry weather, apply lip balm w/sunscreen.
