Sjögren's syndrome?: Dry mouth occurs when the salivary glands that make saliva don't work properly. Also the main causes are anxiety, certain medications, certain diseases and infections and side effect of certain medical treatments. See your primary care physician to rule out Sjögren's syndrome, labs and diagnosis.
