Possible impetigo: if the patch is like a red rash and a little bit painful, it might be a staph/strep infection...often called impetigo. You could try otc antibiotic ointment (I prefer bacitracin) but if it doesnt respond, see your PCP...or consider a consult with HealhTAP with telemedicine level contact.
