Different: Vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain/cramps are typical ones. They may or may not be preceded by "cold" symptoms - runny nose, sore throat, cough. Fever occurs rarely and usually is associated with bacterial disease, where "stomach flu" is usually referred to a viral disease.

Bloody stools are not usually associated with gastroenteritis. According to the CDC, viral gastroenteritis usually has a duration of 1 to 10 days (depending on the specific virus). The average is 1 to 3 days.
