Tricky subject: 1. If you are serious then you have a plan - if you tell whoever you are speaking with what your plan is you will get attention! if you are general - in the sense that you feel life is not worth living then you may get a response which feels like it is not being taken seriously. 2. Tell your psychiatrist you feel you are not being taken seriously. 3. Try someone else?

ER: Suicidal ideation is an indication of extreme hopelessness. You should go to the nearest emergency room and let them know how you are feeling especially if you are seriously considering harming yourself and/or have a plan for how you might do so. You clearly need help.
