Plantar fasciitis: Is probably the most likely diagnosis. Plantar foot massage, stretching and a whole barrage of exercises can be done to help. Wear good tennis shoes as well with a supportive arch. No flats. No barefeet. No flip flops.

Plantar pain: Sounds like plantar fasciitis. Do adequate stretching, wear good arch supported shoes with a gel sole heel insert, ice, heat, nsaids, purified omega, modalities/laser/pt---all can help. Check with orthopedic surgeon or foot doctor if not improved with above.
