Inflammatory respons: Your body reacts to the vaccination with inflammation. Signs are redness, swelling, tenderness, increased body temperature. That will trigger your immune system to fight the "infection" caused by the vaccine. And eventually produce antibodies against these microorganisms.

Not related: Your symptoms are not unusual after an inoculation. Probably not related to your dental work. But just to make sure, call your md/do and your dds?Dmd. Probably will feel better given a little more time.

See your PCP: A vaccine against the varicella-zoster virus is indicated for older persons, above the age of 50-60 not for age 37. If concerned, see your for evaluation. Your dental treatment is unrelated to your symptoms.
