A member asked:

I had shingles and now it is acting up again, but i feel small hard lumps in that area underneath the skin. what are they?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lumps under skin: Usually shingles doesn't present as hard lumps under the skin. The characteristic rash is vesicular and not nodular, but it's hard to say for sure without a picture and exam. It'd be useful to get them checked to make sure this is really a shingles outbreak and not something else.
