Lots!: Eczema is in the same family of conditions as allergies and asthma. It can't be cured but usually can be controlled. It's best managed by using a sensitive skin cleanser, avoiding bathing in very hot water, and using a sensitive skin lotion at least 3 times daily, even when the rash isn't there. If doing this doesn't help enough, please see your doctor for additional management.

Moisturize and other: The cause for eczema is complex. There r some shared features among majority patients that makes it worse, such as dry skin, and repeated scratching. Moisturizing with cream and ointment frequently can help, and refrain from scratching. Some otc antihistamines have good anti-itch effect, and otc Hydrocortisone cream helps too. If it is bad, see ur allergist or dermatologist for a complete plan.

Protect: Avoid things that make you break out, soaps & wetness. Wash your hands only when necessary. Wear gloves when needed. Wear clothes made of cotton. Bathe only with a small amount of mild unscented soap, such as dove. Keep the water temperature cool or warm, not hot. Use the medicine your doctor gave you. Use a plain moisturizer daily. Avoid scratching or rubbing the itchy area. Manage stress.
