Good for asthma: Pulmicort (budesonide) is an inhaled steroid medication approved for treating and preventing asthma. It will not help or harm a person with lung cancer.

Possibly: Any respiratory treatments should be helpful, but the breathing problems may be due to the amount of lung affected, as well as prior lung function and smoking history.
