Why are they high?: If this was an incidental finding and you do intensive exercise daily, then it's a good thing. The "normal" ranges were determined for couch potatoes. When i've tested fitness-focused medical students, have the class has been elevated, nobody's the worse for it, and in the triathletes and power-lifters, ck's are often preposterously high. If you're sick -- treat the disease, not the lab value.
