Treatment: Best way to help you is to visit an ophthalmologists. There they could see and diagnose as well as try and fix. Maybe with the use of glasses, contacts, or even refractive surgery.

It depends.: Children who have an impaired view through one eye (e.g., from having a crossed eye, having a radically different glasses rx in one eye vs. The other, or having a tumor on the eyelid which forces the eye closed) are at risk for never developing the neurological ability for the brain to see out of that eye. This is called amblyopia, and if it's not fully addressed in childhood, then it's permanent.
