Treatment available: Traps is the acronym for tnf receptor-1 associated periodic syndrome. It is an inherited condition. Treatment with nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs, glucocorticoids, etanercept, and Anakinra have been used to treat acute episodes of traps and to prevent recurrences and reduce the likelihood of developing amyloidosis.
