A member asked:

I had a one month old baby and breastfeeding. when should i start taking pop pills?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Progesterone-only: The mini-pill (pop) is an oral contraceptive taken daily without any breaks. It's different to the combined pill as it only contains one hormone, thus it is a progestogen only pill ... It does not carry risk of thromboembolism; it does not inhibit lactation - so can use when breast feeding.
