Other symptoms?: Sinusitis usually (but not always) is a nasal infection associated with nasal obstruction and purulent nasal discharge sometimes along with pronounced pain in the cheeks and/or forehead that persists for 10 or more days. At that point it is reasonable to treat with antibiotics. Failure to improve is an indication to undergo a sinus ct scan. Resistant infections may need surgery.
