Acne or Infection: Boils in the underarms could be from and infection or related to acne. One should be cultured to rule out infection. If related to acne, various treatments may help including benzoyl peroxide, and topical and oral antibiotics. In severe cases of a condition called hidradenitis suppurative, surgery may be the best option.
