A member asked:

I have periods that can last up to two weeks and have them several times in a month. not sexually active and i have had this for about five years.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Abnormal: If you are bleeding that long and that frequently, you are probably not ovulating. This puts you at risk for cancers and precancers of the lining of the uterus. There are several hormonal abnormalities or abnormalities of the uterus that can cause this but you need to be evaluated and your periods regulated.
