Remedies to reduce tinitus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tinnitus relief: There are few remedies clearly proven to reduce tinnitus. If hearing loss is sufficient, the use of hearing aids may "mask" the tinnitus sensation. Background noise such as radio or fan in the bedroom can serve the same purpose. Elimination of drugs such as Aspirin or Lasix (furosemide) which may cause tinnitus can help, too. I would be wary of "tinnitus relief" medications, as little data supports them.
