No treatment cure: Tinnitus may be the result of vascular disease, brain lesions and ear disease among others. The most common cause of tinnitus is hearing loss, so a hearing test is necessary. Treatment depends on the cause. Start with a general medical visit. Then see an otolaryngologist to make sure there are no other symptoms and get a hearing test.

Tinnitus: Tinnitus is a symptom of several diseases of the ear. Hence treat the cause, for example if you have wax- clean the ear, if you have otitis media- treat with abx etc.
