Is riding a street bike during pregnancy safe for the baby?

Wouldn't recommend: When you say street bike i assume a motorized bike. (although i feel the same about either late in pregnancy). Early in pregnancy (first trimester), the fetus is well protected and it would take a pretty significant blow to the abdomen to cause miscarriage. However, for the remainder of the pregnancy the fetus could be severely injured or killed by a fall from a bike (even a peddle bike).
