Diet changes: For starters; eliminate all fried foods/spicy foods and especially caffeine/caffeinated beverages! you may also want to try taking a calcium supplement as this will help absorb the acid as your stomach settles. If these efforts fail go see you doctor; as you will probably need further workup to address possible GI issues(hiatal hernia, h. Pylori, etc.).
