See a specialist.: Most joint problems can be diagnosed by an orthopedic surgeon. However, with numbness, you may need to see a neurologist, or perhaps a neurosurgeon if the numbness is orinating fron the spine. You will likely need some x-rays and maybe more sophistocated neurologic testing to help pinpoint the location and cause of your symptoms.
