Do you salivate more when your pregnant?

Dr. Liza Kunz answered

Yes: Many pregnancy women both produce more saliva, and have a harder time swallowing it in early pregnancy. This leads to the sensation of needing to spit excessively, or ptyalism. While it can be unpleasant for you, it won't affect your baby.
