Try rinsing: Try using an eye wash to rinse it out. If it there is something there, it may wash out. If it is stuck there, it may be a deposit of calcium or a small stye. An eye doctor can take a look and remove it if needed.

Concretion: What you describe is a conjunctival concretion. These are congested glands in the conjunctiva, back side of lid. Due to chronic dryness, irritation and inflammation. Always best to have an eye exam to determine exactly what it is visually and treat accordingly.
