Can be normal: If this was a one time occurrence, it is likely a normal variation, and your periods should return to normal. If this continues, you'll need to see your gyn to be evaluated. If you were late, and there is a possibility you could be pregnant, you should be tested for that as well -- although your doctor will likely do that regardless.
