Don't wait longer: If you normally have regular, monthly menses, and you are not currently on any form of hormonal birth control, then you are probably undergoing an extended cycle without an ovulation. This is the most common cause of a missed period. See your doctor for a second pregnancy test. If it's negative, they can prescribe you a short course of Progesterone to induce your period and "reset" your system.
