For years, BUT!: Internal hemorrhoids can bleed chronically. Nonetheless, it is extremely rare for somebody to become anemic from hemorrhoids. Realize that a small drop of blood in a two liter bottle of water can make it look very red. Most people only have blood during bowel movements. If you are having bleeding during day to day activities, or if the bleeding makes you nervous, you should see a surgeon.

Long time: As long as they are untreated and as long as there may be constipation, irritation, damage or recurrent straining too long at the toilet. See a doctor for an exam to be sure of what you have. Avoid constipation, dink more water, eat more fiver, fruits ; vegetables, add metamucil.
