Short term follow-up: Birads 3 usually refers to "probably benign" and requires short term follow up, usually with a "diagnostic" mammogram and ultrasound if needed. If something remains suspicious, they will recommend a biopsy. Definitely follow up! best wishes.

BIRADS 3: means probably benign. By definition, it implies a probability of malignancy of less than 2%. Usually these are managed with short interval follow ups.
