weird feeling when i swallow, feels like a semi-sore irritated throat. i feel mucus in it. it is semi-orange? is this just a cold?

See your doctor: Based on this question as well as the other symptoms you describe in your other question, i would be suspicious of strep throat. A quick visit to your doctor and a strep test will give you your answer.
