Tell Peds Dr: There are several things this could be: simple teething and baby rubs ear (referred), ear infection, something in ear are all examples. Without a proper examination, there is no way to really tell why the baby is rubbing her ear. A good exam and discussion by her dr. Should go a long way to answer all your questions. Good luck.

Comfort!: Most babies that get in the habit of rubbing their ears early on usually do so because it provide comfort much like a pacifier does. Don't worry, it will stop in time!
