Recur or persist?: Food and water precautions are best to keep new cases away not drugs. If you are talking about a persistent case, there has been some rare emerging resistance first seen in mexico and bangkok. Higher doses Flagyl are sometimes used with additional medication to clear such cases. Some forms of entamoeba are not the case of diarrhea at all and only along for the ride-get seen.
