Scars evolve: The new or acute acne blemishes and pimples heal initially in weeks but evolve and change slowly over many months.

Depends on...: Depth of scar. Some pimples scar into deep tissue - may leave permanent scar. Severe acne often does this. Smaller, less deep pimples generally dont scar.
