Absolutely: Gastric problems can absolutely cause bad breath. That does not mean that you may not have multiple causes of bad breath. There are many dental problems other than gum problems that cause bad breath. Consult both your dentist and your physician or gastroenterologist to exhaust all possibilities and discuss remedies.

Yes it can.: Bad breath comes from volitile sulfur compounds. The source of these are from decaying tissue in some location. If you have perfect oral hygiene and have no "gum" problems then you should look for the origin somewhere else. It could be from your gastric problem, diabetes, or a tumor. Have a thorough physical exam asap.

Yes it can.: Check to see if you have acid reflux and also check if any medications you may be taking have these side effects.
