Somewhat normal: Biting the sides of your cheeks is more common. Not many humans want to chew themselves :). This may be a clue that you are clenching or grinding your teeth, and the area on your cheek needs to be checked every six months to make sure no cancerous changes are taking place. If you do it consciously during the day it may be best to stop, and visit your dentist for it to be checked regularly.

Not normal: Once you have bitten your cheek, it may swell and you will continue to bite it. Avoid chewing on this side for several day. If it does not get better, you should see a dentist to find out why and have the reason fixed.
