How is it possible to catch glaucoma early? Had annual eye exams with dilation every 2 years. When diagnosed there was already 30% optic nerve damage
I had MRI of head without contrast. The senior resident of neurology said that it is normal. Does it mean that the optic nerve is also healthy? Can optic nerve status/health be checked through MRI?, apart from a dilated eye exam?
Eye exam (age 36 & no family history of glaucoma) - iop was 21 in both eyes and corneal thickness 550 and 575. GDx test and visual field test"normal". Optic nerve also looked healthy on dilated exam. What does this mean in terms of glaucoma risk?
Doc, Can slit lamp examine optic nerve without use of dilating drops? Also please tell me that if person with angle recession induced by injury has normal eye pressure in yearly checks. Is it likely that history of injury is not leading to glaucoma?
