Absolutely: If this were my own father, or myself, i would have him evaluted like anyone else. Autonomy reigns and he has the right to accept or refuse the options presented to him. People over 100 can tolerate today's surgery well.

QUITE POSSIBLY: Unless there's evidence of significant extra visceral spread of his disease, or unless his baseline medical status is prohibitive, he may well benefit from intervention. Seek more than one opinion if there's any doubt. Good luck.
