It may: Often there is inflammation in the airways contributing to cough and associated bronchospasm. Proair is a bronchodilator which may reduce coughing. Also consider a steroid inhaler to deal with the inflammation.

Yes, but also add...: Also consider adding on the atrovent (ipratropium) inhaler 3 - 4 times a day.
