Many possibilities: You could have a dry cough from an ace inhibitor blood pressure medicine - change to a different medicine. You could have simple lung inflammation perhaps from smoking or exposure to other irritants - avoid the dust, fires, fumes, etc. If it's short-term, it may just be a virus - take supportive medication. If you have a heart or lung condition (asthma, chf), talk to your fp about medication choice.
