What is the best meds for a really bad head cold? not allergic to anything and currently on no meds

Head cold: I have a regimen i like to use whenever i get a head cold - Ibuprofen 200-400mg 3x/day with food, some decongestants (sudafed), nasal saline irrigation (neil med sinus rinse) each day, some flonase, and rest. I try to avoid "popping" my ears, being around smoke and doing vigorous exercise. Good luck!
