I think so: I would recommend you both get tested and if not already immune to hepatitis b then you should get vaccinated to protect both of you. See a liver specialist if you have more questions about your lab tests once both of you have been tested. It can be transmitted sexually and by bodily fluids like blood.

Yes: Hepatitis B however, is transmitted during sex in bodily fluids, so he'd have to wear a condom. He shouldn't share razors or toothbrushes with you or your son. And the blood from his open wound should not contaminate any sore you may have. You should also make sure you and your son are fully immunized against hepatitis B. You can get a blood test to make sure.
