A few weeks: 3-4 weeks, depending on the extent of surgery, diet, your healing abilities.

1-2 weeks: Classic hemorrhoidal ligation/surgery is painful. It can take 1-2 weeks for the pain to subside. The stitches most often used are absorbable and should fall out on their own during that time period.
