How long does it take to recover from a concussion? i hit my head snowboarding a week ago and ended up in the er. i still feel very much not myself.

Few months: Long term effects from concussion are common often taking weeks or months to resolve. In some cases symptoms can last as long as 2 years or even be perminant for severe head injury or repetitive head injury so best to avoid activities where re-injury can occur until symptoms have resolved completely.

Post concussional syndrome should last solely for 6 weeks. Lingering problems beyond this point are likely indicative of chronic traumatic brain injury which heals maximally by 18 months
