Sexually: Cervical cancer is a cancer almost always caused by exposure to a virus. The virus hpv, is passed sexually. There is a vaccine now for the hpv for those 26 and younger. Pap smears are very effective 92% in picking up changes from hpv and early cancer.

Sexually: Cervical cancer is caused by the hpv virus that is transmitted by sexual contact. Not every woman with this virus will develop cervical cancer. Hpv also can cause anal cancer and throat cancer in both men and women. Ask if a vaccine is applicable to you.
