The standard answers: Utis are very common in women because our urethras are so short. This makes it easy for bacteria to travel up into the bladder and create an infection. Drink a lot of water, get up and urinate after you have sex, wipe from front to back, and don't wait til symptoms get awful before going in for treatment. Btw, any sexual contact - not just intercourse - increases UTI risk. Good luck.
