Hard to say: First, if the penny was stuck in her trachea, she didn't swallow it. Swallowed things go to the stomach. If she swallowed it, it is likely that it has already been passed in the stool and would not explain a cough. If it went in her trachea, then hopefully it's been removed. There could still be some residual irritation in the airway causing cough, or the cough could be unrelated to the coin.

Foreign body: Swallowed coin is usually pass out the stools but if not x-ray will show the location. Pls see ENT specialist especially your child has persistent cough.

What?: I hope that the penny has been removed! i presume it has... And if so... If she has had a cough since that time... Get it checked... I always look for second foreign bodies when i see children with them... If they have swallowed/aspirated one thing... There is a chance something else may be there. The penny is something you can easily see on x-ray. There are many things you can't - get seen.
