?tendonitis?: Could be inflammation of the tendons of the toes, but hard to say w/o exam. Need to see dr / podiatrist for exam and treatment.

Tendonitis: Without full history or work up, it's hard to tell what it could be. It can be anything from stress fracture to tendinitis. I recommend following up with a podiatrist for care and possible x-ray.

Many variables : You did not mention trauma. Are your ankle or foot joints hot? Are they swollen? Any new activities? My first thoughts would include some form of nerve entrapment, paresthesia, or arthritis. Arthritis can run the gamut from gout, calcium pyrophosphate deposition, degenerative, rheumatoid or lupus. Of course, nothing can take the place of a thorough exam and appropriate blood work.
