Unlikely: More likely due to stress, insomnia, anemia, depression, vitamin deficiency, racing thoughts, or even anxiety. Your physician would be able to help. Mental status exam would establish severity of memory problem and provide a meaningful means of following over time and in particular response to any prospective treatment.

Possibly: Some emotional disorders can result in decreased concentration and "forgetfulness". Having a small child/infant and childbirth are definitely stressful....See your family doc and discuss this issue. Get your rest, eat healthy, and exercise regularly...Possibly seek some supportive counseling and monitoring..

The 4 must haves: To perform at our best, we need to have: enough quality sleep, proper nutrition, absence of illness and a supportive/comfortable environment. If you think you have all that (few do) and still remain forgetful it is time to see your doc and get a checkup.
