Confusion: I'm afraid the 5 years it takes you to be an obgyn added to the 3 or more needed to be a pediatrician would make you an oddity. The shorter pathway would be to find a family practice residency that prepared you for this sort of practice in a smaller town setting. The bigger town you work in the more you must narrow your work field.
