I often find myself terribly depressed and un interested with everything. even when i try to work hard i get the feeling that nothing would change.

See your doctor: It sounds like you may be suffering clinical depression or a related disorder. Please see your doctor who may order some blood tests. Clinical depression is very common and can be treated effectively. The key here is to seek medical attention. If you currently have any thoughts about hurting yourself or others, call 911 and seek medical help immediately. Hang in there! things will get better!

You might have: clinical depression. Start with a medical evaluation to rule out medical causes of your symptoms. Medications are sometimes indicated. Talking therapy to include Cognitive Behavioral therapy or psychotherapy can be effective.
